Altenew Inspiration Challenge

September 10, 2024

Lovely, fresh colors in this month’s Inspiration Challenge from Altenew. Check out Altenew’s card blog for the challenge here.

I used Altenew’s Floral Doodle Die Set, which is a dainty outline die featuring three flowers, stems and leaves. I also added a couple extra floral pieces from Papertrey Ink’s Into the Blooms: Christmas Sprigs which I used heavily in my 2024 Christmas card projects featured here.

My background is the Sketched Lines Stencil from Altenew, lightly applied with Concord & 9th’s (C9) Ballet Slipper. I used C9’s Honeysuckle card stock for the lacey flowers and Parsley for the leaves to round out the trio of colors in this month’s challenge.

The ‘Sending Love’ sentiment is from C9’s Mix and Match Everyday Sentiments stamp set. I like that my test stamping of this stamp set with older ink pads in need of reinking left me with this rustic, imperfect sentiment strip in Midnight ink.

Another very similar card except using a white embossed ‘Happy Birthday’ sentiment from C9’s All the Birthdays stamp set onto black cardstock.

Add some sequins here and there. I used a mix of clear/silver color variations including Gina K’s Clear Quartz Solid Sequins.

This was my first challenge for Altenew. My card was inspired by all the wonderful designers on Altenew’s design teams.
